Last updated 2026-11-06. Slice City is a pizza restaurant idle game made by Eric Lalonde ("we"). This policy explains what happens to information when you play it at slicecityonline.com. You can read it any time in the game with Privacy policy in Settings.
Slice City is meant for players aged 13 and older.
Your progress (cash, restaurants, stats and settings) is saved on your device, and also to your account if you make one. We do not run analytics. Our web host, Vercel, keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver the site and keep it secure; see vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy. The game's fonts load from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when it sends them; see policies.google.com/privacy.
If you make an account in Settings, we store the player name you pick, your password in scrambled (hashed) form that we cannot read back, the date you signed up, your best star rating and lifetime money, and a copy of your game save so you can continue on another device. Your name and scores are shown publicly on the leaderboard. To limit abuse, your IP address is counted for a few minutes when you sign up or log in, and is not kept. This data is stored with Upstash, our database provider. Please do not use your real full name or a password you use anywhere else.
Slice City is free and shows ads from Google AdSense (publisher ID pub-2239374363387770): optional rewarded ads you choose to watch for a bonus, and now and then a short ad between rounds. To serve and measure ads and to prevent fraud, Google and its partners may use cookies and collect your IP address (which gives an approximate location), basic device and browser information, and how you interact with ads. Where the law requires it (for example in the European Economic Area, the UK and some US states) the site asks for your consent first, and you can change your choice with Privacy choices in Settings.
Google's use of this data is covered by policies.google.com/privacy and policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can opt out of personalized ads at adssettings.google.com.
Slice City is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The game collects nothing unless you make an optional leaderboard account, which should not include your real name. If you believe a child under 13 has sent us personal information, for example by email, contact us and we will delete it.
Clearing this site's data in your browser, removing the home-screen icon, or "Reset game" in Settings deletes your saved progress. If you made a leaderboard account, email us your player name and we will delete the account and its scores.
